Reasons Bankruptcy may be the right choice?

The decision to file a bankruptcy petition is never easy and should only be made after consulting with an experienced bankruptcy attorney.

When someone comes to my office with financial problems who is considering bankruptcy my job is to carefully analyze their current situation and advise the best route to take. People have fear of the unknown and usually when someone walks into my office, they have never filed bankruptcy before and know nothing about it. Many times, this is the first time they have sought to hire an attorney. Most people come to me as a last resort. They have heard from friends or family that if they file bankruptcy they will lose everything they have and will never have credit again for the rest of their lives. I too had similar notions about bankruptcy before I studied the subject in law school and actually started practicing bankruptcy law in federal court. It was then I realized the true benefits a well planned and properly filed bankruptcy can have on a person or family's fiscal well being.
